The VCBJJ YouTube channel is now live.
I’ve been slow to this. Partly because I wanted to be sure the content was worth making before I started making it. Partly because I think there’s already a lot of BJJ content on YouTube, and I didn’t want to add to the noise without a clear reason.
The reason I settled on: the content I want to produce is for a specific person. Not the white belt who wants to learn berimbolo. Not the competitor who wants to win at the next tournament. The person I’m making this for is the 40-something professional who is curious about BJJ, wants to understand what they’re getting into, and needs to see that there’s a version of this practice that was designed with them in mind.
That’s a small audience by YouTube standards. That’s fine. I’d rather make something genuinely useful for 200 people than something broadly appealing to 20,000.
