Two years at Jeet Academy. It’s worth marking.
VCBJJ moved into the space at Jeet Academy KL in early 2021, after a period of uncertainty that most people who run small gyms will recognise. Finding the right space, at the right size, with the right partners, is harder than it sounds. The configuration we have now — operating within Jeet Academy’s premises in Bangsar — works in a way that previous arrangements didn’t.
What’s working: small class sizes have been maintained deliberately. The quality of the training environment — the mats, the equipment, the feel of the room — is what I want it to be. The student base is the kind of people I set out to teach: working adults, serious but not ego-driven, consistent.
What’s ahead: more of the same, done better.
The content side of things — this blog, the Instagram, the YouTube channel that just launched — is part of making VCBJJ more findable by the people it’s designed for. That work continues.
Two years. Onwards.
